Get Rid of Scuffs Without Heavy Shine

Want to get rid of scuffs without putting a heavy shine on your boots?

• You can reduce the appearance of scuffs and scrapes in smooth leather boots–like the ones in picture (1)–without creating a deep shine by applying a shoe polish paste instead of a wax.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Apply a paste such as *Meltonian Boot and Shoe Cream Polish* by putting a dab on your finger (2) and rubbing in a thin coating.

 

 

 

• To finish, use a horsehair shine brush or a dry rag to buff the polish into the boot. Buff lightly so you don’t create too much of a shine. Compare the results in (4) to the “before” picture (1).
